What does bioavailability mean? How do you ensure your products are bioavailable?

Bioavailability essentially refers to the body’s ability to digest, assimilate and use nutrients.

How the body breaks down vitamins, herbs and minerals can depend on many factors, including the quality of a supplement. Supplements sourced from high-quality and reliable sources are more likely to contain pure and potent ingredients that can provide maximum benefits.

We make sure to source forms of ingredients that are known to be bioavailable such as methylated B vitamins and chelated minerals. Some ingredients, like herbs, naturally have a low bioavailability because of their poor lipid solubility or improper molecular size. In these cases, we source special forms and extracts like phytosomes to help increase bioavailability.
